PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for ensuring that plant sanitation is compliant with company standards and policies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

  • Always use Good Manufacturing Practice(GMP)
  • Ability to understand and take directions.
  • Be able to work flexible hours. Be able to work over time if required.
  • Be able to work in wet and dusty conditions.
  • Washing, scraping, brushing, mopping, and sweeping of plant production equipment, floors, and structural components.
  • Disposes of production waste material into designated trailers/bins.
  • Mixes chemicals in proper ratio for cleaning of plant production equipment, floors, and structural components.
  • Must occasionally climb ladders to a height of approximately 30 feet.
  • Use of hand tools for disassembly and reassembly of production equipment for cleaning.
  • Maintains work areas in a safe and orderly fashion according to GMP and Safety guidelines.
  • Be able to lift 55lbs.
  • Repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, reaching, and moving about the facility.
  • Ensure compliance in the areas of food defense, food regulations, and product/process quality.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrate ability to understand and take directions
  • Effective Communications skills
  • Be able to work alone
  • Be willing to learn new methods and procedures
