PURPOSE STATEMENT

Participates as a member of a “Self-Directed Team” to accomplish shared goals and objectives.  A Packaging Technician is required to operate a Bulk Weighing machine, an Overwrap machine/L-Sealer, case erector/bag inserter equipment (K&R), conveying equipment, and provide break relief to other members of the “Team”. Will also be trained on the Infinity/IQS? QDMS Program as a job requirement.

 

Operation of the equipment includes performing / completing process controls, control charts, pre-operation inspections, and light preventative maintenance, at the specified frequency.  The equipment and general work area will be kept well organized and at a high level of cleanliness on a continuous basis.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS  The physical demands describes here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.  The Associate frequently is required to use hands to handle, or feel and reach  with hands and arms.  The Associate is occasionally required to climb or balance: stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.  The Associate must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT   The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is frequently exposed to moving equipment and moving mechanical parts. The level of noise in the work environment fluctuates based on the process and hearing protection may be required.
