Purpose Statement

The starndard schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM (1 hours +/-)

The Machine Operator controls machinery in a safe, sanitary, cost-effective, and efficient manner that meets company food safety and quality standards. Also maximizing product quality / attractiveness through strong leadership and achieve individual outputs to support your team in meeting their production goals. In addition to assisting the Lead in the supervision on the assigned line. 

Operates one or more production machines which may include but is not limited to the Box machine, Rheon machine, or Laminator by performing the following duties (see attached task lists for specific machine operation).  

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

  • Set up, start up, disassemble, reassemble, and safely operate production equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency, quality, and operational effectiveness.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify and address potential safety concerns, escalating issues when appropriate to Machine Operator II, Group Leader, and/or Supervisor.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail by recognizing abnormalities, taking corrective action, and notifying the Lead of any concerns.
  • Verify that all product specifications and quality standards are consistently met, including weight, height, length, color, and other required measurements.
  • Promptly communicate operational issues, safety concerns, mechanical malfunctions, or production delays to the Machine Operator II, Lead or Supervisor.
  • Perform safe and effective cleaning of equipment and work areas during production, changeovers, and end-of-shift activities.
  • Participate in and/or lead Continuous Improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing activities such as 6S and Autonomous Maintenance; may also support sanitation activities as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business and operational needs.

 

Safety and Food Safety Requirements

  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safety procedures.
  • Immediately report food safety concerns, unsafe conditions, incidents, or potentially hazardous practices to the Lead or Supervisor.
  • Safely lift and carry materials up to 50lbs, including boxes, scrap bins, and waste containers.
  • Maintain required certifications and operate equipment safely, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) systems, as applicable.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of machine operator experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and exercise sound judgment in day-to-day decision-making.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to provide direction, support, and coordination of team activities as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Bilingual communication skills are a plus
  • Ability to lift and safely handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

 

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Hourly Rate

$23.10 - $23.10 plus shift differential as applicable
