PURPOSE STATEMENT

Development of Maintenance Best Practices throughout the Rich’s enterprise. This includes further refinement of many Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as SAP PM, Ariba, Prometheus, Power BI, TPM mobile, and TPM Predictive Maintenance platforms. Through utilization of these tools this position drives improved reliability of our manufacturing sites.   

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

  1. Initiates the investigation and analysis of new systems, materials, equipment, processes and engineering practices for improved manufacturing reliability.
  2. Understands and trains Maintenance Resource Improvement Teams on Lean concepts to drive speed of implementation and operational reliability.
  3. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of capital project procedures and follows RPC directives and guidelines.
  4. Helps in the coordination of major initiatives such as Total Productive Manufacturing. Serves as the TPM PM Pillar leader for USC.
  5. Facilitates standing up the TPM PM pillar at all RPC sites.
  6. Conducts TPM health checks, phase assessments, and monthly PM dashboard reviews with all maintenance managers.
  7. Works with the AMI team to assist with TPM AM activations.
  8. Implements SAP PM into new acquisitions.
  9. Establishes spare parts inventory management best practices for sites.
  10. Benchmarks & Metrics - Assesses plants' maintenance performance, develops detailed improvement plans with plant associates, and communicates and educates plant associates about maintenance best practices.
  11. Represents the company's position and interest effectively in dealing with outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants as well as a constructive positive attitude within the facilities.
  12. Communicates effectively and informs operational leaders of related work executed at sites.
  13.   Ensures pertinent metrics are widely communicated and thoroughly understood throughout the plant community (through dashboards, visibility boards, etc.) to ensure process improvement is achieved and sustained.
  14. Preparation of reports and summaries as required (timely monthly reports).
  15. Participates in the development of policies and procedures related to maintenance, engineering, safety, etc.
  16. Assists the machine parts storeroom inventories.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Four (4) years mechanical or chemical engineering degree. Understand the interrelationships of factors affecting a given situation and be attentive to detail. Capable of efficiently integrating existing methods with new innovations to economically solve production problems in a timely manner. Able to arrange schedule for immediate corrective actions or support. Excellent communications skills, assertive and consultative management style – willing to be a leader, capable of multiple tasks simultaneously, PC literate in spreadsheet, word processing, and scheduling CAD.  Familiarity with all engineering disciplines.  Knowledgeable of plant operations.  Can obtain and use information from others. Can coordinate people and organizations toward a common goal.  Can identify and correct problems in schedule, cost, communications, and priority during projects.  Can innovate management solutions to problems and implement them. TPM PM experience both in implementation and sustainability.
