We’re looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator with a passion for organization and efficiency. In this role, you’ll manage the maintenance department’s inventory and documentation systems, ensuring records, files, and reports are accurate, accessible, and audit-ready. Our Niles, IL facility has proudly served as a cornerstone of Rich’s for over 30 years, specializing in Toppings, Creams, and Culinary Solutions (TCCS). Though compact at just 2 acres, this 24/7, 365-day operation punches well above its weight—driving innovation and consistency across our frozen non-dairy portfolio. Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
- Create and process purchase requisitions and orders in SAP, ensuring accuracy and timely approvals.
- Partner with vendors to obtain and evaluate quotes for stock and specialty parts, maintaining updated pricing and supplier records.
- Track and manage spare parts, materials, and critical components in SAP to ensure proper inventory levels and availability.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and initiate replenishment to prevent shortages and downtime.
- Collaborate with planners and technicians to identify and stage parts for preventive maintenance activities.
- Organize and label parts by production line and equipment type to maintain an efficient and accessible parts room.
- Process and verify goods receipts for both stock and non-stock materials, resolving discrepancies with Accounts Payable.
- Maintain organized digital documentation for purchase orders, receipts, and vendor files to ensure audit readiness.
- Communicate proactively with cross-functional teams regarding lead times, deliveries, and supplier performance.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process gaps and implementing inventory and system enhancements.
- Contribute to TPM initiatives that improve part availability, maintenance efficiency, and communication flow.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with preferred vendors, contractors, and internal partners.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in inventory control, maintenance planning, or spare parts coordination within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical components, maintenance workflows, and equipment documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, stay organized, and follow through on priorities in a fast-paced setting
Preferred:
- Experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) systems and principles
- Familiarity with Ariba and company procurement processes
- Background in food manufacturing or other regulated production environments
COMPENSATION
In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.
Annual Range/Hourly Rate
$28.00 - $30.00
