Purpose Statement

The Intermodal Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of intermodal shipments, ensuring reliable service, and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction. This role plays a critical part in coordinating rail, drayage, and final mile operations while proactively identifying and resolving service issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

•    Coordinate and schedule intermodal shipments, including pickups, rail departures, and final mile delivery 
•    Serve as the primary daily point of contact for drayage carriers and rail providers 
•    Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays to maintain service reliability 
•    Troubleshoot service disruptions including missed cutoffs, equipment shortages, and terminal congestion 
•    Identify and resolve potential service failures; communicate timely updates and alternative solutions to customers 
•    Maintain a high level of customer service through consistent, clear, and proactive communication 
•    Prioritize and manage multiple tasks while handling frequent and time-sensitive requests 
•    Optimize routing and execution strategies to improve efficiency and reduce transit times 
•    Develop and adjust market plans based on capacity availability, performance trends, and changing conditions 
•    Analyze industry trends and operational performance to support continuous improvement initiatives 
•    Identify workflow inefficiencies and contribute to process improvements across intermodal operations 
•    Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and pricing teams to provide insights and improve outcomes 
•    Provide feedback to the pricing team regarding market conditions, challenges, and emerging opportunities 
•    Act as a resource for ongoing improvement within intermodal workflows and execution processes 
 

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma Required 
•    Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively 
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
•    Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment 
•    High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.) 

 

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates (“Rich’s”), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$42,755.00 - $57,845.00
