PURPOSE STATEMENT

Responsible for attainment of annual sales goals and objectives for all assigned accounts in alignment with overall In-Store Bakery & Deli (ISBD) sales strategy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
  • Proactively create new selling opportunities specifically focused on accounts.
  • Develop effective retail “pull-thru” marketing programs to support the needs specifically of key leverage retailers.
  • Communicate/coordinate with Regional Sales Managers and Broker Partners to provide service/support base to all assigned accounts in support of all business building opportunities.
  • Clear understanding and articulation of chain’s "value proposition" of services and support designed to provide our customer base with the tools required to allow for a focused effort on enhanced selling at retail.
  • Establishment of key relationships through the assigned customers focusing on development of key relationship with senior management, merchandising, operations, procurement, and logistics.
  • Profitable execution and leadership of annual Business Plan development in conjunction with Corporate and Division objectives.  This will include:
  • Overall account management and focus on Priority platform placements.
  • Solid direction and leadership to Broker Partners on objectives and profitability expectations.
  • Attainment of the annual sales goals and objectives.
  • Accurate and timely weekly sales reporting, focused on profitable growth with customers, brokers and marketplace information.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum 5 years in Food Industry
  • Minimum 3 years experience in retail channel – in-store bakery preferred
  • Ability to develop/prospect accounts with a hybrid approach of virtual, digital and physical experiences. 
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Solid written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Effective in team environment
  • Understanding of Customer P&Ls
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office including; Outlook,  Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
  • 50% travel
