Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift

PURPOSE STATEMENT

Jacqueline’s is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift. The position will support, repair and perform preventative maintenance to all production and packaging processes and equipment. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (PM’s and unplanned) on production, processing equipment and utility systems.
  • Making sure a continuous sources of heat, steam, cooling, electrical, power, gas or air is provided for operations.
  • Maintenance of plant building and outside areas of facility
  • Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by reporting low levels to Parts Clerk
  • Keeping communication channels open with other departments, management and employees notifying them of any potential problems and/or concerns that would limit the efficiency of production.
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Maintain clean equipment and shop area.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Flexible work schedule covering all shifts and some weekends when required
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • 3 – 5 years of work experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility
  • 1 year minimum experience with one of more technical experiences, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer controlled equipment and HVAC
  • 1 year minimum experience on a variety of equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control and packaging equipment.
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing facility strongly desired
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills a must
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of food safety, AIB, OSHA, QA and GMP programs.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working independently, confidence in making independent decisions
  • Bilingual (Spanish) highly desired
  • A High School degree or equivalent is required.   Additional post-secondary education is preferred (i.e. Technical or Vocational education) in areas of industrial engineering.
