Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of complex IT projects. They lead cross-functional teams, manage project budgets and timelines, and ensure that project goals are met. The Senior IT Project Manager also provides strategic guidance to stakeholders and communicates project status to executive leadership. This role requires extensive experience in project management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

• Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to closure 
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets 
• Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards 
• Manage project risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies 
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management 
• Manage project resources, including internal and external team members 
• Ensure project documentation is complete and up-to-date 
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior project managers and team members 

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

• 10+ years of experience in IT project management 
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale IT projects 
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices 
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
• In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure and systems 
• Proficiency in project management tools and software
