Purpose Statement

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair and service of all plant wide equipment and systems. And to ensure maximum production quality and efficiency, while supporting the various policies, goals and objectives of RPC.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

Maintain, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and share knowledge of applicable mechanical concepts/principles to other Maintenance personnel.
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility and utilities (i.e. compressed air, water, steam).
Provide troubleshooting and repair of facility electrical equipment that includes single phase AC circuits and DC circuits.
Must have general mechanical knowledge and electrical and logic principle knowledge
Has basic plumbing, metalworking, and general facilities/building maintenance knowledge
Must be able to execute position requirements with little or no supervision.
Read and interpret mechanical and electrical manuals/schematics as required.
Provide operating instructions and/or training of production line manufacturing equipment to other facility associates.
Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks as scheduled and report results.
Complete Work Order tasks as assigned and report results.
Provide assistance in determining the specifications and requirements of spare parts under the department’s spare parts program.
Must have general maintenance troubleshooting skills and equipment component knowledge to properly diagnose equipment failures.
Must understand proper lubrication practices of bearings, chains, and gearboxes.
Must be capable of using all shop and hand tools and equipment in a safe and proper manner
Must be able to perform all assigned equipment service in a professional manner and follow instructions.
Must be able to follow, understand and utilize work logs, breakdown reports, work orders and preventive maintenance logs.
Has an awareness of and the ability to follow GMP and Food Safety guidelines

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
High School Diploma or GED required
Special certification may be required for use of forklift and chemicals and certain mechanical skills
Knowledge, skills, and ability to operate computer programs as needed
One year experience in a manufacturing/ industrial environment as a mechanic
Must be willing to work extended hours when necessary.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and or move 50 pounds.
Must be able to work on ladders, scissor lifts, scaffolding and other high precarious places safely and effectively.
Able to work around flour and other bakery ingredients as part of the daily activities
Protected work stands and platforms 60” high

 

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$25.00 - $30.00
