PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals (Double-A Affiliate of the Kansas City Royals) are currently accepting resumes for a Business Department Assistant.  The Business Department Assistant will work directly with the Business Manager to coordinate and organize many aspects of the business department. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for recruitment, training, and supervision of the Gameday staff
  • Updates and organizes the Gameday Staff handbook; will implement and follow through with all procedures listed in this book during the season.
  • Prepares Gameday staff scheduling.
  • Responsible for distribution and record-keeping of staff uniforms.
  • Prepares and submits Gameday staff payroll.
  • Responsible for quality control of staff during games and events, including maintenance and safety of staff and fans.
  • Administer staff engagement and recognition plan over the course of the season. 
  • Assist when needed with updating merchandise section of the Naturals website.
  • Processes and organizes web and phone merchandise orders as assigned.
  • Assist in setting meetings, and making merchandise orders as assigned.
  • Assist in keeping accurate monthly inventory count and reporting.
  • Assist with all business-related aspects of End-Of-Month recording; including, but not limited to keeping track of: Cash Receipts, Deposits, Souvenir Transfers, and Purchase Orders.
  • Performs many miscellaneous game and office-related duties as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work odd hours and weekends (all home Naturals games and TBD special events)
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Organized, punctual and professional.

Educational/Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Demonstrated quick learner with ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
