Purpose Statement

Helps operate the mixing equipment, ingredient scaling equipment, and conducts the loading of ingredients into hoppers and bins. Also handles re-work dough, scaling the hand add ingredients, adding the hand adds to the blender, and cleaning the mixing area.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

  1. Attends to numerically controlled equipment that automatically mixes fats, water, and mixture of dry ingredients to make dough used in production.
  2. Interacts with equipment control panel and observes lights and dials to verify that panel and equipment is functioning. 
  3. Inspects sections of mixing equipment, such as mixing tools, drum of mixer, and feed hopper to verify that equipment is clean.
  4. Transports raw materials from the cooler using FIFO.
  5. Records mixing information, i.e. lot codes, amounts, start times, dough temps, mixer speeds on mixing sheet.
  6.  Monitors dough coming out of mixer making sure it meets desired specifications.
  7. Transport dough into troughs from mixer to makeup area.
  8.  Notifies the Supervisor of dough not meeting mixing standards and of equipment malfunctions for the mixing equipment and scaling equipment.
  9.  Maintains log sheets as necessary that are required for Quality Assurance.
  10.  Transports rework dough to the mixing area.
  11.  Add rework dough to the mixers at the appropriate rate.
  12.  Scales minor ingredients into buckets. Adds the hand add ingredients to the blender when needed.
  13.  Maintains work area in clean and sanitary condition by sweeping floor and wiping down equipment.
  14.  Assists in training of new employees or employees who change job classifications.
  15.  Maintain a high level of sanitation and GMP’s.
  16.  Complete tasks and projects as required by the company.
  17. Promote safety in the work area by understanding and complying with safety procedures and reporting all accidents in a timely manner.
  18.  Must follow all company GMP’s, Food Safety, Food Quality, Traceability, MLO and TPM rules, regulation and process as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  1. 2 years of food production experience is desirable
  2. Must have a Safety-First work ethic
  3. Must be able to work in a hot environment normal in a bakery plant
  4. Read, write, and speak English. Spanish speaking is a plus
  5. High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience in food manufacturing
  6. Able to use a manual pallet jack
  7. Must be able to work weekends, overtime and other shifts as needed
  8. Communication Proficiency.
  9. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills and Microsoft Office Suite
  10. Must have proven attention to detail
  11. Must be able to work flexible hours and schedules
  12. Basic food-safety knowledge
  13. Demonstrate ability to understand and take directions
  14. Positive attitude in support of the company’s mission

 

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$20.00 - $20.00
