Purpose Statement

The Maintenance Planner ensures that proven Maintenance Planning and Scheduling methods and techniques are used to maximize system availability, throughput, quality, safety and environmental performance by reducing equipment repair time.  Proven methods would include accurately documenting work orders so that work description, time estimates, and proper codes are capture in SAP.  Parts and tools required for the work are identified, ordered, and available for the work.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

  • Works under general direction of the Maintenance Manager.
  • Follows company Environmental, Safety, and Health guidelines. Ensure safety considerations are given top priority in work order planning. Define safe work procedures, best practices, PPE, tools, and equipment for preventative maintenance.
  • Receives assignments that are broad in nature requiring appreciable originality and ingenuity for successful completion.
  • Plans and Schedules all maintenance work performed in the area of responsibility.
  • Facilitates development of the weekly maintenance schedule in conjunction with appropriate maintenance and operations personnel.
  • Responsible for consistency of format for al job plans and work lists.
  • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Experience Preferred 
  • Manages the PM program on a daily basis.
  • Ensures the new equipment information, parts, PM's, etc. is properly captured in SAP prior to start-up.
  • Ensures correct parts and consumables are included in all job plans.
  • Works with the proper Associates (i.e. Maintenance Coordinator) to ensure the spares are stocked at appropriate levels.
  • Manages the timing and SAP system output for PM and PdM work.
  • Develops, coordinates and executes plant maintenance shutdown schedules using Gantt charts, critical path analysis, and resource leveling.  Update and schedule progress during shutdowns, identifying critical path impacts, delays, acceleration, and compression.  Communicate schedule progress at shutdown meetings with tracking schedule.
  • Completes job plans scheduling and parts verification per company standards for:
    • Outages/Turnarounds
    • Equipment modifications
    • Standard Work
    • PMs and Condition Based Monitoring Inspections
  • Develops the master plan for outages/turnarounds
  • Assists with Bill of Material (BOMs) updates.
  • Manages the life of Notifications/Work Orders:
    • Uses feedback to update Standard Work
    • Monitors proper completion and return
    • Ensures correct closing codes are applied to completed work orders
    • Partner with Maintenance Operations and Production to plan and schedule preventative, corrective and calibration maintenance work orders
  • Helps to maintain the equipment hierarchy in SAP.
  • Ensures data integrity is upheld in all maintenance related data in SAP.  Ensures complete and accurate records within SAP for parts, labor and maintenance plans.  Update maintenance plans with actual labor to continuously improve estimated resourced tasks.
  • Maintains accurate and up to date Work Order Backlogs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Experience with Total Productive Maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Two-year degree in relevant technical area and/or 7+ years of relevant experience as a maintenance craft (electricians, mechanics, refrigeration technicians, etc.) in the maintenance environment 
  • Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling principles
  • Experience in a GMP/BRC/Food manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Expert SAP PM & MM (Power User)
  • Familiarity with Lean methods and processes
  • Strong Organizational Skills 
  • Able to handle multiple and competing priorities.

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

 

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$82,314.00 - $111,366.00
