PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Line Maintenance Technician's responsiblity is to perform basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic repair and preventive maintenance on all plant equipment, and structure of the facility.
 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
  • Experience working with manufacturing equipment including 3 phase motors, control wiring, 24VDC, 120VAC, 208/220VAC, 480VAC;

    · Experience with Controls for Conveyor Systems and Power Transmissions, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Pumps and Valves;

    · Experience with Temperature controls and I/P loops;

    · Experience with calibration of RTD, T/couple and other low voltage sensors;

    · Familiarity with Lock-Out Tag-Out Authorized, Hot Work, Confined Space and HECP Training;

  • Must be able to use RS Logix 5000, RS Logix 500, or RS Logix 5 software for machine troubleshooting.
  • Must be able to go online with Control Logix, Compact Logix, SLC500, or PLC5 using either Ethernet I/P, DH+, or RS232. Must be able to download PLC program if necessary.
  • Must be able to replace Panelview and download application using Panelbuilder 32, Panelview Plus and download application using RS View Studio Machine Edition.
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Must be able to replace and configure AB Powerflex 40, 400, and 525 VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and Yaskawa V1000 and P1000 VFDs.
  • Employee regularly required standing, reaching, bending, and moving about the facility.
  • Vision and hearing abilities.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED required. Technical School graduate preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in manufacturing maintenance environment.
  • Must read, write and speak English.
  • A high degree of judgment is required for this job.
  • Knowledge of power and hand tools.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to communicate in a professional manner with all employee levels at the plant as mechanics may perform training for newly acquired equipment.
