PURPOSE STATEMENT

The National Account Manager will be committed to driving growth and strengthening business relationships within both the in-store bakery and home meal replacement (HMR) markets. This individual will be responsible for executing their individual customer and AOP objectives through the development of core and seasonal programs, in addition to launching innovation into the Canadian market. The ideal candidate must live within 40 miles of the Woodbridge ON operation since 2 days in office would be required. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

  • Develop, support and achieve the annual sales plan in our In-Store Bakery and HMR accounts.
  • Proactively develop key initiatives and targeted value propositions to achieve sales and profit targets.
  • Enhance current relationships within our existing customer base and develop new relationships by creating value, managing expectations, delivering exceptional levels of support and demonstrating a customer-centric attitude.
  • Develop annual sales plans and robust account plans while achieving sales objectives established by the Director.
  • Responsible for budgets, planning and sales forecasts, ensuring that all aspects of our sales and marketing strategies achieve our growth targets.
  • Prepare effective and professional sales reports and/or presentations.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

•    Post-secondary education in business or marketing. University degree preferred. MBA preferred.
•    Minimum 5 years sales experience in the food industry (retail or foodservice)
•    Sales experience in the Food Service industry preferred
•    Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams
•    Demonstrated relationship building skills
•    Demonstrated business development skills 
•    Demonstrated financial acumen including understanding of P&L and customer cost drivers
•    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•    Professional, personable, detail oriented and results driven
•    PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
•    Ability to work in office 2 days/week and travel (air & automobile) 20%
