PURPOSE STATEMENT
General Manager Supply Chain for Rich UK, you will have overall responsibility for Supply Chain and Manufacturing for the Andover Site.
This role will have a focus on delivering key metrics through strong leadership, teamwork and continuous improvement and TPM (Total Productive Manufacturing). Our site is world class in terms of its Bakery technology with a growing product portfolio manufactured locally and globally.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
• Lead the Supply Chain and Operational leadership team through best practice in Manufacturing Excellence through a strong culture of Continuous Improvement and TPM Phased Progression.
• Drive the Supply Chain Vision, Mission, Strategy & Tactics (VMOST). Lead the strategy to develop an engaged workforce and the continued development of manufacturing associates.
• Delivering world class service by providing Customers with the right products within the agreed timeframe.
• Responsible for the IBP – Integrated Business Planning – Revises time-phased projections for demand, supply, new product and portfolio activities, strategic projects, resulting financial plans and capacity constraints.
• Responsible for preparing the Plant Budget with Monthly Forecasting to meet with the needs of the business, AOP – Annual Operating Plan
• Drive the strategic Supply plan through leadership across the UK manufacturing Plant.
• Champion Health and Safety as the forefront of day to day, drive the Business Units to zero accidents.
• Lead Supply Chain with a strong compliance culture, delivering against quality metrics through good engagement working in partnership with FSQA.
• Work closely with Global teams to improve local performance, whilst aligning with the breakthrough projects that will make a step change in performance.
• Embed food safety, hygiene and quality standards and mindsets appropriate to a quality food manufacturer using Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs).
• Continually improve manufacturing to maximise performance that meets/exceeds company standards, KPIs including OEE and OTIF measures, customer and legislative requirements.
• Manage and drive efficient warehouse operations that control inventory/working capital in line with forecast cost projections whilst ensuring customer service levels are achieved.
• Develop an efficient and effective engineering function that provides solutions, maintains and improves operational capability and capacity.
• Be an active collaborator working cross functionally and with other Rich global sites to meet business objectives.
• Effectively managing in line with Company policies and Procedures, Associate life cycle activities such as absence, disciplinary etc.
• Championing the Company values and GLDs to drive the Family culture and focus on engagement.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Critical
• Degree level qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering or Food Science/Technology (or equivalent).
• IOSH/NEBOSH certificate level.
• Basic Food Safety/HACCP level qualifications.
• LSS Yellow belt or equivalent CI qualification ideally involving TPM.
• Commercial acumen and strategy formulation with a proven track record of effective budget management and cost control.
• Demonstrable knowledge of operating production, engineering and warehouse functions
• Project planning and management including CAPEX
• Demonstrable track record of defining and delivering CI programs
• Strong technical understanding and awareness across all operational functions.
• Track record of managing large operational functions or whole autonomous sites.
• Experience of converting strategy into operating plans and taking ownership for delivery of results.
• Understanding of commercial and financial aspects of business and strategically applying this to operations.
• Change management and delivering results through CI activity.
• Knowledge of how to manage and lead production/warehouse/ engineering operations

• ERP and MRP systems. · S&OP/ IBP process (Sales & Operation Planning / Integrated Business Planning).

Desirable
• Strong food (and ideally Bakery) Industry Knowledge
• Experience of ERP systems and planning systems, D365 particularly useful.
• Experience in working in a matrix global manufacturing organization.
• TPM work environment experience. Knowledgeable with TPM pillars and implementation.
